The two figures which I call Cherubim have here only one wing each of them.They are first emanations of the Monad.
They represent the first division from the One into two. They still resemble each other because they are two angelic twins but masculine and feminine. They are the left and the right wings of the One Deity, the two poles through which the Energy flows out of the Inner Circle from the One to the Cosmos, they hold its energy and fire.

They stare in each other eyes.From the One to the many towards the creation,as from the many to the One toward the origin, for the seeker who finds the portal, within the circle of the serpent and watches into it.
There...in the opening abyss, across the limit of the circle, staring into the Light, toward that Centre that is always beyond... The Seer will meet the Godhead ; between the two cherubim, he will hear the Divine Word.

He will know and he will be known.
